In the next 10 years, Shanghai will invest about 200 billion yuan to build China's largest industrial base for new materials.
The development goals of the Shanghai Chemical New Materials Industry are: Focusing on the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, the company will focus on the launch of six key industrial products such as synthetic resins and fibers, seven new industrial products including fluorine-containing materials, and chemically synthesized biodegradable materials. The project will eventually form an integrated industrial chain of Shanghai's new chemical materials industry centered on Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, Jinshan Petrochemical, Gaoqiao Petrochemical, and Wujing Clean Energy and New Materials Base.
At present, the Shanghai Municipal Government is organizing the implementation of this proposal. It is expected that in the next 10 years, a quarter of the investment in Shanghai's industrial sector will be invested in the new materials industry.
