France launches flame retardant printing fabric "Seen Safe"

From April 8th to 10th at TECH TEXTIL in Frankfurt, Germany, the innovative product “Seen Safe” researched by Porch erIndustries in France won the 2003 “Technical Fabric” new material award.

Porcher Industries has a long-standing reputation in the world of technical fabrics for industrial use. “SeenSafe” is a new series of glass fiber fabrics with a coating on the surface that can be used as an inkjet-printed carrier based on solvents and water.

Unlike the existing print carrier materials that have achieved M2 or M1 certification, the new print carrier “See nSafe” can meet the flame retardant requirements of French M0 and German A2. The French M0 standard is the world's most stringent standard, requiring the fabric not to burn when in contact with flame or radiation. With "SeenSafe," fabrics have non-flammable properties before and after printing. And the heat emitted during combustion is also very small, below 2.5 megajoules per kilogram. In addition, fabric coatings developed by Porch Industries Inc contain no halogen and therefore do not generate toxic gases when in contact with flames. Therefore, "Seen Safe" as a carrier for printing promotional materials is very suitable for use in public places, such as shopping malls, museums, professional exhibition halls and other places, and to minimize the risk of fire in these places.

In addition to these major technical advantages, the coating on fabrics is also a specially studied substance that can be well colored to ensure that printed advertising images are fine and aesthetically pleasing. The appearance of prints looks like textiles, and general The advertising paper is different. The standard width of the fabric can reach up to 3 meters, and the length of each roll has also been specially studied to meet the needs of printing factories.
