At present, China's pharmaceutical label printing has a large volume and relatively simple print content. However, this does not mean that the quality check is lower than other labels. On the contrary, due to the particularity of the use of medical labels and the increasing standardization of pharmaceutical products in the country, the surface printing quality of medical labels has to some extent more stringent testing requirements than other daily and electronic labels.

The requirements for the detection of pharmaceutical labels are mainly reflected in:

1, the key area on the label detection accuracy. For example, the detection of small names such as medicine name and dosage should be detected and there should be no missed detection. For some small-font labels, the missing font strokes or the lack of decimal points are mandatory contents, which poses a challenge to the detection accuracy of the detection system.

2. Since the product volume is large, the detection efficiency must be ensured in order to really play the role of the detection equipment in place of the artificial one. The traditional "due to stop" operation mode is more difficult to meet the needs of efficient detection.

3. With the increase of drug supervision by the national drug administration department, the electronic surveillance code is an inevitable trend in the printing of medical labels. It is impossible to complete the monitoring of supervisory codes by relying on manual or simple print detection systems.

The main reason is that electronic surveillance codes are unique and each label is different. Currently, detection equipment on the market mostly depends on comparison with standard images. The electronic surveillance code part cannot use this method.

Application status of homemade medicine label testing equipment

Visual tag testing equipment has been in China for nearly a decade. Some foreign-funded daily label printing companies have first introduced foreign testing equipment into China through domestic channels. Afterwards, domestic large-scale label printing companies gradually began to match similar testing equipment due to competition and other factors. However, there are relatively few applications of foreign testing equipment in the fields of electronic and pharmaceutical labels with high quality requirements. The main reason is that there is a big difference between the label quality requirements and the daily chemical labels in electronics and pharmaceutical industries. In terms of detection accuracy, special defects, and detection efficiency, foreign equipment cannot meet the needs of domestic and domestic users.

After 2007, the market share of domestic label testing equipment has exceeded 60%, becoming mainstream. At present, in the domestic pharmaceutical label printing industry, the domestic market share of equipment reaches 90%, and domestic equipment has been widely accepted.
