(2) The wrapping process is the same as the wrapping process. See Figure 10-3. High-speed wrap-around case packers have a productivity of 60 boxes/min, medium speeds of 10 to 20 boxes/min, and semi-automatic versions of 4 to 8 boxes/min.
(3) Nested packing method This packing method is suitable for packaging large items such as refrigerators, washing machines, etc. that are large in weight, large in size, and relatively expensive. If such products are packed in the above method, whether it is moving up or down or moving horizontally, it is both energy-consuming and accident-prone. To this end, the use of nested type, which features a two-piece carton, a higher than the product, after the box blank opened the first mouth sealed, the lower mouth without flaps and cover sheets; the other is shallow The disc-type cover has no fins and cover pieces in the opening, and the length-width dimension is slightly smaller than the height, and can be inserted into it to form an inverted box cover. There is also a nested packing method, see Figure 10-8. The box stock on the upright storage rack is taken out and then stretched into a tube shape. In addition to the above packing methods, there is a special packing method called a bag-in-box. Box bags, as the name implies, contain a plastic or composite bag in a corrugated box. The bag has a pour pocket and can be fitted with a seal cap or a valve with a tube. Generally, it is hand-packed. The empty bag is first installed in an empty box, and after the filling liquid is filled, the cover or valve on the bag is tightened and then sealed. The filled bag has a shape and volume that fills the space of the box. When you take it, you don't need to open the seal, just open the lid or valve that is exposed outside the box, such as baby food. Therefore, it is very popular with families, fast food restaurants and restaurants.
Box-bags began to appear more than two decades ago. Due to the continuous improvement of the performance of plastic films and multilayer composites, the application range of cartons in recent years has continued to expand. It is mainly used to pack liquids of various viscosities such as beverages. , alcohol, edible oil, soy sauce and so on. Packaging containers, small bags of 4 ~ 25cm3, large bags up to 200 ~ 1000cm3.
Carton bags have many advantages:
(1) Empty containers and bags are collapsible, with less space for storage and transportation, and they can be reused;
(2) The box is rectangular, and the stacking area is less than that of the drum;
(3) Before bagging, the bag can be sterilized. After the liquid material is filled, there is no air in the bag. During use, the bag is gradually compressed and air cannot enter the bag, so that the material in the bag is not kept in contact with air at all times.
It can be seen that bagging bags can save packaging, storage and transportation costs, and can extend the shelf life of articles, and are easy to use.
Box bags also have disadvantages: In the process of stacking, if there is a leak in the bag, it will contaminate and damage the box below it. Therefore, the box should have sufficient strength and the quality of the bag must be guaranteed. New product packaging must undergo rigorous testing.
Third, the choice of corrugated boxes and packing equipment Selection of Corrugated Boxes Corrugated boxes are transport packaging containers whose main function is to protect the goods. The first choice should be based on the nature of the goods, weight, storage and transportation conditions and circulation environment to consider. The use of shock-proof packaging design principles and corrugated box design methods should be designed in accordance with relevant national standards. The packaging of export goods must conform to international standards or requirements of foreign companies and undergo relevant tests. Under the premise of guaranteeing the quality of the carton, try to save the cost of materials and packaging. For example, when the container is the same carton, the longest: width: high = 2:1:2 is the most economical material, and 1:1:1 is the most wasteful material. Therefore, try to avoid using square boxes. Also take into account the utilization of the internal volume of the product on the box, the utilization of the box to the truck, the volume of the train compartment, and the stability of the stacking during storage and transportation.
2. Selection of packing equipment In general, the production plant does not have a box-making workshop, and corrugated boxes are supplied by professional box-making plants. The following points should be considered when choosing a packing machine:
(1) When the productivity is not high, the product is light, and the volume is small, such as boxes, pouches, packages, fruits, etc., manual packing may be used in the absence of labor shortage. But for some heavier products, or fragile products, such as bottled liquor, soft-packed drinks, eggs, etc., the general batch size is relatively large, semi-automatic case packing machine can be used.
(2) High-productivity, single-species products should be packed with fully automatic carton packers such as beer or soda cartons or plastic containers.
(3) The automatic packing mechanism is complicated, and the product arrangement, ranking, and stacking device are also required. Although the production speed and efficiency are very high, it must be established on the basis of the machine's own motion coordination, complete supporting devices, stable operation, and sensitive and reliable control system, based on the occasion of large production volume. The latest type of fully automatic cartoner has a filling speed of up to 350 L/min, depending of course on the viscosity of the liquid.
