Anti-corrosion new packaging for product escorting

With the development of technology and market promotion, more and more telecommunications products and electronic components are exposed to the extremely corrosive atmosphere when they are used. EU countries also prohibit the use of hexavalent chromium-containing metals and lead-containing solder. These factors make telecommunication products and electronic components more vulnerable to corrosion. To cope with this situation, Lucent Technologies Bell Labs has developed a new product, named Intercept Technology, that combines long-term anti-corrosion and permanent anti-static functions.

Intercept Technology is a copper ion blended polyester, polypropylene, and styrene polymers, which are covalently bonded to a special additive that neutralizes the corrosive gas. The permanent anti-static plastic thus produced has a unique long-term function of neutralizing corrosive gas, making the bag a clean micro environment. The material not only has the function of anti-static and anti-corrosion, but also has better efficiency than any other similar materials. The function is never affected by the climate and the surrounding humidity. Because it does not contain any volatile additives, it does not contaminate the protected items.

This material can be used to make a variety of packaging products, such as bags, sleeves, paper, foam rubber, corrugated board and carton and so on. It protects components such as electronic components, pre-plating and post-plating cartridges, cases, electronic components, and export metal packaging systems from the corrosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon-based sulfur, and hydrogen chloride in the atmosphere.
