As someone who's lucky enough to have worked with our Rotherham branch, I can tell you it's a day we take seriously! From pudding-tossing contests to lively parades, the celebrations always bring a sense of community. 1) Stainless Steel: This indispensable material didn’t just appear out of thin air—it came from the genius mind of Harry Brearley, a Sheffield native. In 1913, he revolutionized the world with his invention of stainless steel. You probably have a piece of it in your home right now, whether it’s your sink, a pan, or even your cutlery.
