It thrives in dry climates and has been widely studied for its medicinal properties. One of the key bioactive compounds found in Echinacea is cichoric acid, a phenylpropanoid derivative with strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Recent research highlights the growing interest in cichoric acid, with over 50% of published studies focusing on its therapeutic applications, including treatment of upper respiratory infections, cancer support, and immune system enhancement.
