Propylene-ethylene TPE for stretching and self-adhesive

Dow Chemicals' two new film resins have been effectively improved in performance and processability. They are the last two resins added to the Versify series of propylene-ethylene TPE resins. Versify resin was produced using Insight's post-metallocene catalyst and Dow's dissolution process. It has been reported that the novel catalytic technology incorporates higher levels of ethylene, resulting in a combination of properties that are not visible in typical Ziegler-Natta catalysis and metallocene-based propylene copolymers. Customer use reports show that Versify 2300 and 3300 films have an excellent balance of stiffness and elasticity, outstanding tear and puncture resistance, and ease of processing. Versify 2300 is an optimized grade for blown stretch hood films, with excellent elasticity and good hold pressure, enabling the film to better follow the shape of the packaged article, improving the stability of full-load pallets, and tear resistance The best tested, reduced wrinkling and eye formation, is also well suited for calendering, extrusion applications and as a blending component of TPE. Versify 3300 is designed for stretching adhesive and elastic films and blending with TPE and TPO. It is also suitable for casting into stretched film sealing materials. It can also produce films for cold and hot packaging machinery; detection shows 3 Adhesion can be maintained after months.
