On the afternoon of July 5, 2014, representatives from several higher vocational colleges in Beijing gathered at the main campus of Beijing Electronic Technology Vocational College (Yizhuang Campus) to visit and inspect the stadium construction and sports equipment. The group included officials from the sports teaching and research departments, stadium construction and management units, as well as those responsible for procurement and management of sports facilities.
Beijing Electronic Technology Vocational College is a public institution dedicated to higher vocational education, located along the Liangshui River in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. With a total area of 807 acres, it serves as the headquarters of the Beijing Vocational Education Park and is the only higher vocational college within the development zone. The institution comprises seven secondary colleges, including the College of Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automation Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Bioengineering, Art and Design, and Economics and Management. It offers 48 specialized programs across seven categories, covering key industries such as machinery, automotive, automation, electronics, biotechnology, design, and business management.
To enhance practical learning, the college has implemented a three-tiered training system focusing on basic professional skills, comprehensive professional abilities, and production-level competencies. Supported by both central and municipal funding, the college maintains three national-level training bases and two city-level ones. Additionally, it has established 505 off-campus training sites in collaboration with local enterprises. Through partnerships, the college has developed 34 training rooms and 20 productive comprehensive training centers, ensuring students gain real-world experience aligned with industry demands.
