4. Bamboo operation and requirements

The bamboo section refers to the bulging of the back of the book shell as the shape of the bamboo shape. The effect of bamboo is to make the book beautiful and to protect the waist from being worn.

There are two ways to make bamboo knots. One is to paste the shells, that is, to squeeze the bamboo knots after sticking on the middle diameter cardboard; the other is to temporarily fix a medium diameter cardboard on the back of the book block. After sticking the bamboo knots, cover the knots again (Figure 11-1). No matter which method is used, the book cover that sticks the bamboo knots must be squeezed with a special tool on the bamboo joint of the middle waist so that the bamboo knots will protrude and the solid shape will be packaged. The bamboo soft cover marks the length of the cut (ie, the length of the head and foot is longer) than the average hardcover size is about 7mm, leaving room for crowding and slightly protruding above and below the middle waist. After the shell is finished, the upper and lower sides of the box will be buckled inwards to cover the plug cloth or flower head line. This way, after processing, the book appears to be different from the general hardcover book, which is quite artistic (Figure 11). -2).

5. Sticky paper

Enclosed paper refers to the paper that is stuck in the edge of the cover of the bookcase. The function is to cover the problem that the thickness of the cover is high due to the large thickness of the cover material. The mark of the book block can be flattened and flattened. There are two specifications of the envelope paper, one is the specification of the linerless material, and its length is the length of the bookcase minus the width of the two envelopes plus the thickness of two paperboards, and the width is the width of the paperboard minus the width of one edging. A sheet of cardboard is thick; the other is a lined stock specification with the same length as the previous one, the width being the width of the board minus one edge and one line width plus one board thickness. The thickness of the cover paper should be determined depending on the thickness of the cover material. Generally, more offset paper is used.

There are two ways to operate, one is to apply a thin layer of adhesive to a certain size of the closed envelope paper, and stick it in the edge of the envelope; the other is not to paste The shell, leaving room for wrapping on the cut cardboard only, sticking the adhesive to the cardboard and sticking it to the cardboard.
