Heidelberg introduces two new Suprasetter platesetters

Heidelberger recently launched two new Suprasetter platesetters and wanted to enter the small and medium-sized printing market.

The new models, 2pp A52 and 4pp A74, will be officially unveiled at the Graph Expo in October. Heidelberg claims that they fill the gaps in the primary market. In addition to maintaining the features of the low-end models, the two new platesetters also have technologies that are often used in high-end devices, such as the IDS system in Heidelberg.

Jürgen Rautert, the company’s director of engineering and production: “Many printers cannot afford expensive equipment. Our goal is to provide these customers with a cost-effective thermal plate production solution.” Heidelberg also specifically The A52 platesetter developed a primary RIP package to make it more functional. In addition, Suprasetter platesetters can be easily integrated into Heidelberg's workflow.
