[Show Information] Ten years accompanied by gratitude: Asia Outdoor Exhibition, industry-recognized exhibition platform

From July 23 to 26, 2015, the Asia Outdoor Show celebrated its tenth anniversary at the Nanjing International Expo Center, marking a significant milestone for the outdoor industry. The event not only honored the past decade of growth but also showcased the vibrant future of outdoor culture and innovation. This year’s exhibition spanned 50,000 square meters and featured 617 exhibitors—slightly up from the previous year’s 613. Over four days, the show attracted 19,002 professional visitors from around the globe, surpassing the 2014 figure of 17,298. In addition, 459 media representatives covered the event, highlighting its growing influence in the global outdoor sector. German partners, including Stefan Reisinger, General Manager of the European Outdoor Exhibition Project, praised the success of the 10th Asia Outdoor Show. He noted that despite a slowdown in China's outdoor market growth over the past three years, the event has become a crucial platform for Asian countries to collaborate and strengthen their industry presence. Friedrichshafen Mayor Andreas Brand also visited the exhibition, celebrating the decade-long cooperation between Nanjing and his city. He emphasized the importance of joint efforts in building a sustainable and prosperous outdoor industry. Director Li Xi of the Asia Outdoor Exhibition Project highlighted the impressive increase in both the number and quality of attendees, with over 90% of leading outdoor retailers and distributors present. “Participating in the Asia Outdoor Show has become a must for professionals in the industry,” he said. The event featured a wide range of products—from functional footwear and lightweight gear to camping essentials and skiing equipment. Beyond the exhibits, numerous forums, networking sessions, and interactive activities kept the atmosphere lively and engaging. The China Outdoor Brand Alliance (COA) reaffirmed its commitment to the “Sanyi Manifesto” by supporting three platforms and one standard: the Asia Outdoor Products Exhibition, the COA Outdoor Summit Forum, and the COA Outdoor Sports League, along with a unified product quality standard. At the first COA Outdoor Summit Forum, President Sheng Faqiang emphasized the forum’s role in promoting knowledge exchange and industry collaboration. Attendees overwhelmingly praised the event, with 90% expressing intent to return next year. During the exhibition, COA launched a certified down product quality standard, aiming to provide consumers with high-quality, trustworthy outdoor gear through rigorous testing and certification. Special events like the Dry Climbing Challenge, Youth Outdoor Education Forum, and the Zijin Mountain Fluorescence Run added unique experiences. The running pavilion expanded, featuring 30 brands and various interactive activities. Yan Wei of Runner Equipment highlighted the potential of the Chinese market, calling the Asia Outdoor Show a key driver for future growth. The Asia Outdoor Industry Awards recognized 26 outstanding products from 22 brands, with 13 Chinese entries showcasing the country’s rising creativity and design focus. Other highlights included a lobster feast, a happy teahouse, and a variety of social and networking events, all contributing to the festival-like atmosphere. According to a post-event survey, 93% of visitors were satisfied, and 95% planned to return in 2016. The 11th Asia Outdoor Show is set to take place from June 30 to July 3, 2016, at the same venue.
